Our Year 4 pupils are all selected to be prefects throughout their final year at Wychbold. During the year they support the Headteacher and staff as role models for the younger pupils in the lunch hall, moving around the school and during outside play. Duties also include:
- Covering the school office at lunchtime including answering the telephone and greeting visitors.
- Sorting and distributing letters and leaflets to classes
- Corridor monitors after Assembly to ensure safety and respect as pupils return to class.
Our School Council consists of two representatives from Years 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Regular meetings are held to discuss issues that affect us and share ideas about things we want to organise, change or improve in our school.
We are part of the pupil voice, listening to the views of all children and communicating these clearly. We decide on which charities we would like to support throughout the year and think about ways to raise money.
At the start of each academic year, each class elects new members, choosing from willing volunteers!
